Meet Automations: Let Member Splash Handle the Routine Work

Running a club means a long list of small tasks that have to happen at the right time, every time. Resetting guest credits. Welcoming new members. Following up when a payment doesn’t go through. Most clubs are run by small teams and volunteer boards, and those tasks add up fast.

That’s why we built Automations.

What are Automations?

Automations let you set up rules that run on their own. Every automation has three simple parts:

  • A trigger: what starts it, like a schedule, a new member joining, a payment, or a check in
  • Who it applies to: the accounts it should affect, based on account type, account tag, or payment status
  • An action: what Member Splash should do, like add or set guest credits, send an email, or add or remove a tag

Set it up once, turn it on, and the right thing happens every time without anyone having to remember.

What you can automate today

  • Welcome new members with an email the moment they finish signing up online
  • Give new members starter guest credits as soon as they join
  • Reward paid dues by adding guest credits when a payment comes in
  • Reset guest credits daily, weekly, monthly, or once a year
  • Follow up on failed payments with a friendly reminder to update their payment method
  • Tag accounts automatically when a payment comes in, so your segments and Mailchimp lists stay up to date

Build it your way

Set up an automation in a simple Form, or see the whole thing laid out as a visual flow in Canvas. You can start from a ready made template or from scratch, and switch between views any time.

Coming soon: Build with AI. Just type or speak what you want, like “every day at midnight, set guest credits to 4 for all paid accounts,” and Member Splash will fill in the steps for you to review.

Built with safety in mind

We know the last thing a club wants is something changing behind the scenes. So every automation:

  • Starts off until you turn it on
  • Shows exactly how many accounts it matches before you activate it
  • Logs every run in the Activity tab, including how many accounts were changed
  • Can be deactivated at any time, one at a time or several at once

Where it came from

Automations started as a request from clubs in our Community Group, and the first triggers and actions are based on what clubs asked for most. More are already on the way, including membership renewals, upcoming expirations, lapsed memberships, overdue balances, and bounced emails.
